COLONEL MARIAN MCGOVERN is a 30 year veteran and Superintendent of the Massachusetts
State Police. She began her career in the western part of the state at the Northampton
barracks where she performed all the functions of a road Trooper. She transferred to the
Holden barracks which brought her closer to home and closer to her passion of teaching.
Colonel McGovern has been involved in training for not only Department members but
members of State, Local, and Federal Law Enforcement agencies as well as numerous
agencies and departments in this state and others as well.
